After a hectic month filled with a move to a brand new office space as well as a few of our biggest launches ever, it was time to get away. Alas, no longer small enough to just throw up a tent and talk about mobile, we took the opportunity to officially throw our First Annual Mobify Fall Retreat.

Ahhh corporate retreats... a chance to get away, work uninterrupted, communicate as a team, and of course, let loose. This beautiful November weekend saw the team head to Galiano Island, a paradise found just a short ferry ride away from Vancouver. We kayaked, we hiked, we ate, we discussed, we danced and we... hammed it up.

After spending a few hours on the water, we headed to our cabins to eat a well deserved dinner and let loose for the evening. A morning yoga class taught by our very own Stewart Yu got some of us up in the morning, while others awaited the tantalizing smell of bacon to drag them from their beds.

Of course, it couldn't all be fun and games. Coming at the end of a year in which our team tripled in size, the retreat was an amazing opportunity to sit down together and discuss communication strategies for "real life". We recapped the year, looked at the challenges we faced, and took the time to celebrate how far we have truly come.
